How many different floras will we learn in a lifetime?
Cultivate Nature is restructuring for several new conditions.
A whole new flora? I thought that in moving from northern Virginia to Lower Michigan there would be a new flora to learn. How is it that most plants native to the Mid-Atlantic North America are also native to the Great Lakes region? This gives me a huge advantage as a botanist! To completely relocate but not have to learn an entire new flora? Makes me realize that we are not really moving that far and that North America is a vast continent and that several state lines is nothing compared to its enormous expanse of land.
Good news! In addition to moving services to Ann Arbor, sooner than later due to familiarity of the flora, a new approach will be offered. I will be offering land stewardship training. One-on-one sessions, on-site guiding homeowners to learn the skills to cultivate nature. I am developing training materials and the approach is much like personal physical training. Stay tuned!
